I keep hearing writing skills over and over from the website and from people here. However I'm curious since there seems to be a consensus on what "Good" writing skills are but no one deemed to inform me. Are you referring to a persons ability to write an informative, concise paper that makes use of facts or the acutual penmanship of the writer. I only ask because I have terrible penmanship and since that is somewhat of a quickfix I want to know if I that is something I need to work on. |

That seems the better title in these PC days. Apart from the new SAT, which is handwritten, the ability to write by hand is not material (so long as you can read your own class notes!). Instead, it is the ability to understand facts and relationships and relate them to a reader effectively that is the key talent sought. Remember, whether you are in DI or DO, you are presenting facts to an audience you will never likely see and who cannot ask you follow-up questions readily.
