Yes, I know the five pillars of Islam. Yes, I know exactly how muslims pray, and I even know how one should correctly clean their body before entering a Mosque. Yes, I have memorized parts of the Quar'an. Yes, i can speak, read, and write modern world Arabic. Yes, I have fasted once for a day, and know why muslims and myself do/did it. Yes, I have read "Inside the CIA" from cover to cover...Have bought and listened to twice to "See no Evil". Yes, i read the economist.
Yes, I have seen Munich and Syriana. If it were up to me, I would like my career at the CIA be a blend of Munich and Syriana...Go kill all of those pussies involved in planning 9-11. Be on something like Task Force 121, look up Michal Spann, we need more heros like him on the "frontlines of the War on Terror".
You have to be a Patriot to want this job...I'd bet that some people on this thing have never even read the Declaration of Independence.
I have applied to the CIA a couple of times, and never heard back from them once. The leader of my country is calling for more human intelligence, and I'm right here to pick up the phone and answer that call, but so far no dice... It's alright though...I'll be ready to go whenever. |

I have a lot of the same qualifications as you Al Malik as far as a religious background goes. I know Islam and was raised a muslim. I've read Inside the CIA and See no Evil as well. I read the Economist. I have seen Munich and Syriana.
However, I am currently well into the recruitment process. The CIA responded to my online web application and I completed the phone interview successfully.
Al Malik, you may have the religious, cultural and language background the CIA seeks, but do you have the personality type, writing ability, intelligence and creativity? The CIA's DO is looking for people who are on the edge. They are not looking for people who abide the law 100% of the time and are upstanding citizens. Instead they are looking for people who are a bit more abnormal and break rules, but up to a limit. Someone with an immaculate morality and sense of ethics would not cut it in the field. You have to be able to deal in gray.
