I know the discussion topic sounds absurd; however, my husband believes the CIA has tapped our phones and yesterday, after a trip to the movies, he alerted me that two, large white men trailed me from the movie theater. We were in seperate cars and I was behind my husband, when he motioned me to follow him to a strip mall, and when we both exited our seperate cars, he gave me an embrace, while in his embrace he whispered in my ear that two "large" white men,in a nondescript vehicle, had followed me from the movie theater! He stated that they did not follow us into the strip mall parking lot, but had passed us.
Before I file for divorce on the grounds of lunacy, has anyone heard of recruits being tailed as a means of investigation. Or is my hubby being paranoid?
FYI:I am going for the DO and will be going to the 3-day soon. |

Listen, your husband very well may be a bit paranoid about this whole process, not that it doesn't make us all a bit neurotic. Nonetheless, it shouldn't matter. After all, an investigator will eventually speak to family, neighbors, friends, co-workers, etc. In the polygraph, you will most likely have to pour your guts in order to prove that you are telling the truth (for your own sake, because any feeling of guilt for even something insignificant will show up on your readings).
As a case officer, you will have to constantly be on the watch for tails. So even if you were being tailed, what difference does it make? One way or another, the security people will find out everything they want to know about your personal and professional life, so unless you have something to hide, who the hell cares if some dudes followed you to the movies? Unless you think your husband and you are actually being stalked, don??t worry about it. Please tell me you discussed this career choice thoroughly with your husband before you applied, because from what you posted, he seems to be a bit antsy, and that could put a strain on your relationship unless he can keep a level head and not tell anyone who you work for.
