DLI rates languages by difficulty, and state dept. has a page that rates your proficiency 0-5. I believe serb-croat is a cat. III like all the slavic langs. Native prof. is a 5 (nice)
ANOTHER QUESTION: part of the work i have done overseas was international consulting/junior advising. The firm was corporate and not-government related, but the country in question in terms of US foreign policy is best described as "wait and see."
Is that going to be a problem for me? I mean, what type of work do they expect you to get over there- teaching english- please..
