I'm hoping someone can provide some insight. I'm currently in an unbarable job and would desparately like a new job. I've been looking for quite some time but without any luck. I have not tried head hunters or recruiters yet, my experience has been that they have little to offer.
What does anyone have to say about quitting the current job and concentrating all my efforts and a new one? Does anyone have any stories or advice? I must stress my current situation is not good. |

Try some headhunters. Ask friends for recommendations. Maybe your other experience was bad luck.
If the current job is so bad that it's causing you health problems, you need to get out asap. But only you can make that decision. It depends on lots of factors (how long have you been looking? have you had any interviews? are you willing to relocate? do you have some savings to live on if you don't find a job right away? can you take a "lesser" job until the economy improves if you don't find something soon? etc.)
