to find an entry level marketing career... I'm making a career change from Televison News to Marketing...I live in the Raleigh/Durham Area...and I really don't know where to look. Can anyone give me any suggestions ? |

Start making lists: people you know who work in mktg, people you know who work for co's that have mktg depts, etc. Where do these people hang out - meetings, trade groups? What industry web sites are serving these people? Nogiveup was on track: look in the yellow pages, do a web search. You want to find people so you can do some informational interviews. Once you've identified people, get your questions together & ask them for 20 min (in person or by phone). You'll want to ask their advice on how to get into this field. There are some articles on vault about info interviewing, too.
