What is the best way to break the news to your boss when you are leaving a position for a different job, and you know the news will be a big surprise. My specific situation os that I work at a pretty good job with great people, but I know that ultimately I can never excel at the company because I'm not genuinely interested in their line of business. Not trying to to burn any bridges - just taking a slightly higher paying position at a company I know I can get excited about. What's the best procedure - anyone with a similar experience to share? Thanks in advance!
