I graduated 2 years ago w/a double major in sociology and communications. I had a sales asst. position at a large publication, but I quit b/c not only did I have a horrible manager, but the job was insulting. I felt as I wasn't challenged enough, and I hated the fact that I was helping make money for a woman I despised. I want to get into public policy/non-
profit arena. I want something that is intellectually stimulating, as well as purposeful. However, I feel as though no organization will hire me b/c I don't have any experience in these fields. Does anyone have any advice? |

Get a copy of What Color is Your Parachute by Richard Bolles and do some of the exercises. Your dilemma of no experience can be dealt with but you must inventory yourself first. As a career management consultant of 26 years standing, I know there are ways out of your dilemma bu?? you need to do the assessment work
