In Reply To: I'm 27. Licensed attorney in TX, practiced for a year, burned out. Now I live in NYC, doing legal temping and am trying to figure just what to do with myself. What did I like about being an attorney? Snooping. How do I break into a snooping profession, like private investigation, without having a law enforcement background? What else could I do that's more accessible? Thanks!
Message: Dear o: Me, too! I've always thought detective work would be fun & interesting. You don't say what kind of law you were practicing... I hear that forensic accounting is jumping right now. But there are lots of different opportunities to track down crooks in many areas. Be creative & start making a list - what agencies, co's, etc. are doing that? Would any of them salivate over your legal exp? Lemme know what you decide. Jane
