I am thinking about changing career to become a quant for a hedge fund.
So my question is what should I expect for in term of compensation a first year Quant. (The position normally requires PhD.) How about second year?
If their offer indicate only the base salary, what is a normal range for bonus. I know it flunctuate. But I am sure the picture is quite different from other industries where a normal year bonus is about at most one month's salary.
