You obviously don't believe any Buddist principles.
We're so brainwashed with money and its lure in this country. There is more to life than money, but having it does make life easier.
You don't have to be a rat to feed your family.
Stepping on others does not raise you one bit.
Besides, define "'win' the rat race"?

Didn't mean to double quote. Been too long since I read the post you responded to. To respond a little more in depth to your post, let me add that nowhere did I advocate 'stepping on others'. And as far as 'winning the rat race' - for me that means never having to worry about feeding my family. Sure, there will always be something to worry about. However, I would rather be worrying about whether or not my wife could survive without me on the 100K/year my investments provided rather than wondering if she would have enough money from her job to make it.
