Topic Name: Accountant to Oracle DBA Message Name: How do I make career switch to Oracle DBA Date Posted: 09/18/2002 Message: I have almost 10 years of accounting experience. I have a BA in Accounting and I am a CPA. In those 10 years I implemented JDE World GL and AP and worked on an implementation of Peoplesoft. I have always been the technical guru in the accounting groups I have worked. I would like to try my hand at being an Oracle DBA. How should I go about making this career change?
