This is a story about a creative pro who is getting nowhere fast currently.
I have a BBA, led my college paper, led or founded two small papers, one daily, helped kick off a multimedia company, have written stories all over the subject map. Photographer, designer, editor, writer, pre-press expert, color expert, department manager, COO, task analyst, organizer, web designer, marketing copy writer and designer. My skills say I could be a managing editor or a valuable member of an entrepreneurial team. My career shows a list of mediocre companies -- no big names.
So am I being hurt by my versatility, are the company names not impressive enough, do I have to dole out cash I don't have to get my resume to the right people? Do I come off too directionless, or do I come off as if I should just start my own company?
How do I find a job, when jobs I am perfect for I'm getting zero response from, online?
