After earning an International MBA I went into management consulting. Most of my time was spent in a technical role, but I did pick up systems analysis, team lead, and CRM experience. I am interested in taking these skills into the corporate world, but don't feel the IT/CIO track is for me. I am considering the MSF to give me a strong understanding in financial modeling for M&A and stragegic investments. My belief is that the systems/IT understanding combined w/ the MSF will make me valuable when looking for positions either in corporate finance, strategy consulting or M&A from an IT perspective.
Does this sound like a winning combination or is my logic off? What are other options w/ this skill set combination I may not have considered?
