After reading several articles, forums, etc... regarding b-school and the dismal chance of landing a job once you finish got me nervous. I am a new grad. at Pace's Lubin School Business in NY, I plan to take Marketing Management and International/Global Business. I am very interested in Brand Marketing, but do not have direct marketing experience. (By that I mean I have never had a "marketing" job.) I had a business for 4 years, and am a program coordinator (manage endowed program and events) for a NY academic society. In my current job, I am responsible for the budgeting, and marketing of my programs and events. Will this count as experience once I get my degree, or should I be looking for internships, part-time jobs in marketing?
Any advice will greatly help!
