Hi
I am an MBA from an institute in Asia. Have 5 years experience in IT and process consulting with retailers. Have a very good international exposure and am now working with a reputed software company in the US.
I am planning to do an MBA from a Tier-1 or Tier-2 US B-school to move to a finance job (for a much better salary). However before I invest the time and effort in applying to a school I wanted to find out if, after MBA, it's possible for me to get a finance job where my work ex would be useful and hence could get in at a higher level than the regular fresh MBA graduate.
Any suggestions what kind of a finance company could offer me such a position and in which area.
Thanks |

Dear need:
You might check the Vault MBA area for info, also >browse all boards > by industry & post your questions there. And go to mba sites like mbajungle.com. Another way to approach it would be to use your networking contacts, identify co's you'd like to work for & ask what's their policy in your circumstances. Or find out which co's recruit at the schools you're considering & get info from them.
Best of luck,
Jane
