Hi. I hope someone here can help me out. A couple people at my old job had something called MOUS certification (Microsoft Office User Specialist), and seemed to be very well-qualified for desktop admin and support positions. I am wondering how well this kind of certification would serve me in securing a full-time position in a similar role (hopefully at a stable company). I have been having a very hard time finding work and most of my skills come from the same dotcom job that I had for 2.5 years before we went under. Any info or advice about this appreciated. Also, what about the cost, time for training, etc? Anything else someone with a short resume could consider to be more marketable in the workplace right now?
