First of all, your not alone in your situation. I have experience in web development and aviation as a airline pilot for a small airline with bad working conditions. Furhtermore, I was only paid $10 per flight hour.
My brother and I were both econ majors that loved technology and taught ourselves just like you have. True some positions might require a CS major but not all. My brother now works as a programmer at Agency.com and I have built numerous sites for companies on my own, even the airline where I quit my job :)
BTW, my brother spent 9 months teaching himself some web skills during "the good internet economy" and his starting salary at agency was 55k. I'm sure he will be getting a promotion soon too.
Due to the economy I would keep your job right now and keep studying ASP and XML. Save some money from work and when the economy starts getting better, send yourself to take a class to support the concepts you already know.
If you are inclinded to get an MBA start with buying one of the Kaplan GMAT books with the CD Rom. Its an excellent resource. Then look around for an affordable GMAT class.
Hang in there! |

Damn, I thought I read everything on vault, now we have a $10.00 an hour pilot.
If your flying 747's, I'll never buy another airline ticket in my life......And thats the truth.
