I'm thinking (well, have been for the past four years) of moving from Web producer to train as an architect.
Has anyone out there any experience of this, whether they think it's worth the years of training, what the pros and cons are. I'm just looking for someone to help me decide. Thanks |

zelda, you should, as stated in the previous reponse, talk to professionals in all sectors: commercial, residential, entertainment, military, and even the landscape or urban planning side of things. I have a BS of Landscape Architecture and the "real-world" was a disappoitment for me in terms of design limitations and more importantly, lack of interest in actually building things (school is different than the working world).
Analyze yourself: see what qualities of architecture are appealling to you; make sure your pusuit of another career is not just to alleviate stresses/problems at your current job; your current field may be the right one for you.
Do your homework!
