Dear Jane:
Thanks so much for helping out. I recently managed to find out from one person (who used to be a layoff victim from a very large company) that it would be best to get in touch with a few of my other co-workers who at least knew me well.
I know one individual who oversaw a majority of my progress right from Day One. In the last several months I was employed, we basically sat no more than six feet away from each other.
Thank you for your advice, and I am definitely going to need all the luck I can get.
Sincerely,
Big Z

Dear bigz:
Yes, definitely - Colleagues, supervisors, someone at another co. who you worked closely with on a certain project? Brainstorm it! Write down as many names as you can think of - anybody who will say good things about you. This is both a potential refs list AND your networking group. You are networking aren't you?!
Keep moving forward & let me know how it goes.
Jane
