I have used headhunters on a few occasions previously and I guess have been lucky enough to find the appropriate ones to help me in my job search. Recently, however, I've come across one that has been seemingly rude and apparently did not want to assist me at all.
On 3 separate occasions I've called. The 1st call was an open call and was told that they couldn't help me. In fact the type of position I was looking for was not their specialty. However, when I hopped on various job posting sites I saw various descriptions matching my expertise level, etc. I was able to get a specific contact name and placed a 2nd phone call. The person I was connected with was rude, kept on talking over me after she asked me a question and basically insulted me --- all this after being on the phone a total of 3 minutes and being really nice through all of it. Crazily, I tried a 3rd time after once again seeing a job listing. I was contacted back, but no effort was made in taking time to discuss what I was looking for, what was available, etc.
I gave them the 3 shot rule. Eventhough I'm still searching, I would never use or recommend TaylorGrey again. |

I was threatened by a headhunter and will NEVER use that firm again.
Work only for people that respect and treat you right- that goes for using headhunters and your current position alike.
