I recommend keeping your job while still looking for a job. most experts that I have read say it is easier to find a job when you already have a job. may be hard to do interviews/ search out companies when you are working 60 hrs/wk but is worth it in my opinion.

Lovin that this thread has some action. Anyway, last Friday (4/27) was my last day, and how sweet it was. No question that this was the right decision. Luckily, I have the fortune of having a lot of family friends in hedge funds...and my father being a successful securities lawyer helps a lot with getting in touch with people. So in that way, I am EXTREMELY lucky. I've already landed an interview since I quit. Also, I've been calling up HR people left and right and something has got to come out of that soon. It was clearly the right decision. Now if this heat wave would just cool off a little...
Oh, and to the guy who jokingly wanted to trade jobs, they arent even rehiring for my old position anymore I found out. Shows how important it was.
