What do you think???
I was at my first job out of college for 2.5 years. Anxious to explore and conquer the world, I took my second job clear across the country at a startup company. After 2.5 years of rain, 60 hour work weeks, and burned coffee I'm ready to move back to Chicago. Although my career "out here" has gone well - 60% salary increase and promotion to lead engineer - I want to go home.
If I leave again after only 2.5 years does this make me a job hopper? I'm an electrical engineer for what it's worth.

Are you asking if an employer will consider you to be a hopper? They might, but maybe not. My personal opinion is that, for someone out of college, two jobs in 5 yrs isn't so bad. If you think it might be an issue for prospective employers, say in your cover letter that you really want to return to that area and settle down there (you've moved around a bit, explored and now you're ready to land).
Good luck!
Jane
