I graduated college in May 2000 and have been working at a dumb IT job since November. I HATE it, more than anything imaginable, and I want desparately to make the switch over to the financial side of things. I was an econ major and past internships of mine look great and are very financially oriented. But the pay here is excellent and the market sucks.
So should I quit before looking for something else? This job is driving me insane, but I'm afraid someone like me would be much worse off trying to get hired while unemployed, and things are difficult enough as it is anyway. Any thoughts?
Also, I dont mind a decrease in salary. I just want to get my career on the right track instead of this retarded tech garbage.
