I have given a great deal of thought to start applying for another job in a different industry after being at my current job for 8 months. This is my first job out of college/grad school and have found that my current role does not fufill many of my interests in contrast to the job(s) that I am looking at. Would potential employers look down at that I have only been at my job for 8 months and consider myself to be a liability when it comes to employee retention or can this be overlooked.
I have also considered the financial consequences to leaving my current job before 1 year with respect to pro-rated repayment of relocation costs.
