Hi all
I am 37 and contemplating pursuing a JD in patent law. I already have a Ph.D in Chemistry. The only option that I could do with regard to getting my JD is getting it from Concord Law School or NWCU. To my knowledge, you do not need to have a JD from a ABA accredited school to practice IP law. I know that it would limit your opportunities if your work required you litigating casess in state courts.
What I am asking is if there are any employers out there or fellow people that are in this field that could give me any advice on what direction I should go. Would the restrictions of not being an ABA school limit me sufficiently enough so as to not be of any value to be hired as a patent attorney.
Thanks Mike
