Analyst to Marketing |

Hello,
I am a recent MBA graduate who believes he may have made a wrong choice regarding my profession. I am currently working for a big 4 accounting firm as an analyst and find it absolutely dreadful. My boss, and my bosses boss are doing jobs which don't seem enticing at all. This wasn't what I signed up for...
Anyway, I think I am wasting my skill set by staying where I am (I have been here for only 3 months, but as I said I do not enjoy it at all). I am creative, energetic, enjoy talking with people, love challenges and problem solving. I believe that I should reset my career and choose something in the marketing field. What I am curious about is where/what I should start doing, and how I can get started (realisitcally). I am not against starting at the bottom, as I understand that's how it works. Given the intrests and skills I listed above, can anyone suggest a path/position I should consider? Even moreso, perhaps a company, in the Boston, MA area?
Thanks so much |

Dear dpm,
Before you decide on marketing, talk to people who are doing what you think you might like to do. Ask about all aspects of that job -- the good and the bad -- before you make the leap.
Best wishes,
Jane
