In Reply To: Jane, I have looked into resume writing services. But, as you might guess with my recent employment history, money isn't all that easy to come by. Not that the services aren't worth it. I'm sure they are and definitely wish I could get professional help here. If I possibly could, I'd dole out the dough. But, rent's gotta come first.
Message: Hey Toqued: Honestly, you dont need to pay anyone to "fix" your resume. All you have to do is sit down, read up on the company (if possible) and read the job description, pick the jobs, skills and experiences that you KNOW they'd be looking for (Dont include every job, just the important ones) in a functional resume (as opposed to a chronological one) and make sure you market it well by making sure you build internal relationships with the firms, follow up and send thank you notes. The rest lies in persistence.
