i wouldn't know where to start other than to go straight to hr. if i go to the internet, i could google "person in charge of hiring" or "hiring authorities" all i want but it will only yield hr. i doubt that's what you meant when you said "hiring authorities". if one writes a letter to the published "hiring authorities" the letter you send will go to the same people tossing out your resume. so, for your letter to be effective, your letter needs to reach a different audience. my question is, how does one go about finding out what that alternative audience within a firm is.
