My education background is in electrical engineering (BS, MS). I will be working in a consulting firm upon graduation. I would ultimately like to pursue investment mgt or consulting/strategy. Am I on the right path or should I have started with engineering first??? |

I think it is perfectly okay if you embark on a career that's totally unrelated to your undergraduate education as long as you have a genuine interest in it. I have a friend who also graduated with EE degree but is now working in Mckinsey, one of the top global management consulting firms.
