I am curious about career opportunities for a m.d. with license. I am about to finish a 5 year residency and am considering other options. I am rather burnt out with medicine at this time.
I am very open to different ideas. I would consider going back for further education if necessary.
I consider myself to be very hard working and I am a good "problem solver". I am well organized and self-motivated.
Thanks in advance.

MD level medical counsultant reviewers make great of money, use their medical training to review claim information, call treating providers, educate claims payers, Develop trainings , and are never on call. Title - medical director- usually officer level in Fortune 500 company- get bonus's etc. Corporate environment- very differnt but you get used to it pretty quickly. If you like to interact with people and like to share what you know, it's a great job. Having come from the private practice world myself, and having been very burnt out- I have loved it for the 5 years that I have been working as a clinical consultant- level reviewer.
Hope this helps. There are a lot of companies out there- check out HOTJOBS.COm
