I am currently more than 1/3 complete with my program as a part time MBA student at a top 25 business school while continuing my career as a structural engineer. I have applied to a number of positions in the business strategy/planning or consulting field while I finish out my MBA so that I will make the early transition and gain valuable experience while completing my graduate studies. I am having trouble getting responses from HR and cracking the industry without existing experience due to changing industries. Any suggestions on how to make the transition? Where to look? Who to talk to? Jobs available?
