certified internal auditor, PMP (project mgmt), Series 7/63 (financial sales), etc.
None of these are as in demand or as likely to boost your salary, and they may be _required_ to even get a job at times. Out of these, the relevant one to C1 is PMP - a few in my department have this, but it is NOT an indicator of higher pay or position.
The only ones I can think of where there could be a salary premium for having them (if they aren't absolutely required) are CPA & CFA. If you're just starting out and aren't sure where you'll end up, they are good "backup plans" that won't completely break the bank.
Just my opinion - I've been rather 'negative' on these qualifications since I am speaking from a C1-usefulness point of view. Evidently the CPA/CFA in particular have great usefulness and portability in the rightjobs / companies, as may some others. |

c1analyst:
S what do you think of some other certificates such as CFM and CMA?
Will they be helpful in C1 in terms of their relevance to the work done by a BA?
How about in other positions in corporate finance outside C1, would they prefer CFM, CMA, CPA, or CFA??
I appreciate any input in this topic.
Thanks,
