I don't know anyone personally that was hired on their second try, but that doesn't mean much. The 6 month rule is standard policy... I'd say we don't get that many people that wait around specifically to reapply with C1, since they probably found other jobs in the meantime. The consolation is that you will absolutely be more familiar with what types of questions are asked, etc, if you do go for another shot.
