In Reply To: Thanks C1Analyst. Sorry for not posting more details in my earlier message. I am still at school and I interviewed for a T6 BA position during the Jan 26th power day. Last Monday (Jan 30) I received a call where the recruiter said that I will be extended an offer for a BA position at the T6 level. But since I am not graduating until May, details about the hiring manager, etc may not be known for a while. However, she said she will get back to me as soon as possible with the details of the offer. I completely understand that I would get to know about my hiring manager and position later. But, I was expecting to receive my offer details (salary, etc) within a few days. If it is going to be delayed, I would have at least appreciated a response from the recruiter stating that. It seems a little unprofessional on C1's part to stay quiet and letting me guess what is happening. Sorry about the ramble, I am just a little frustrated. Thanks for your post, though. bp76
Message: I'm not defending recruiters by any means - I feel they should keep candidates adequately and frequently informed - but the process after passing interviews can take several weeks if no manager is urgently looking for T6 BAs, or if they have very specific requirements which you may or may not match. The recruiter probably isn't getting news on a daily basis about one particular candidate. If you have other offers on the table, do mention this - C1 is sympathetic to "exploding offers", and your recruiter may be able to make a case to speed up your process (don't abuse this possibility!). T6s are not easy to come by from external hiring, so I'm sure your profile would've garnered interest. However, you'll have to sit tight until a manager bites :(
