In Reply To: There could probably be some truth to this. Tier 7 level 18 for analysts (OA/BA)is a large range from new graduates to 4-5 years exp. New hires with graduate degree and prior experience, in Tier 7 level 18 are generally told that if they have more experience it should show in their performance (rating) which leads to move up faster (to Tier 6 level 20) One HR analyst told me that in the new job framework, the levels will depend on 1. Current tier and level 2. Current designation/role 3. Current department 4. Tenure in Cap1 He said, It does not depend on salary or prior work exp. This basically means that these experienced recent hires, will end up in the lower bucket with recent BS/MS graduates. More importantly they will take more time to go to a level equivalent to the current T6 level 20. (Associate->Sr. associate->lead associate->manager) So ci_oa_7 who says he started with 65K, and expected to be Tier 6 in say 2 years (VS, EXP rating needed), may now need 3-4 years. I am not in HR but dont think this is very off the mark.
Message: sounds about right, unfortunately.
