Hi AB_GATOR, I've been in your position (I'm on an H1B too).
I know it is difficult. I would recommend discussing this frankly with HR to make sure that they understand the legal ramifications and can plan for you to take unpaid time off for the 2 months of August & September
(You can work from the 1st of October onwards)
This is a good company that supports immigration & I'm sure they'll make an adjustment for you.
But please do disclose adn talk this through. Don't risk doing anything illegal. |

Thanks Jobseeker and C1analyst.
Yes, I have US Masters degree.
The recruiter told me they going to apply H1B for me in the current quota. But incase I dnt get one, I wont be able to join before Oct'06.
Jobseeker, as you mentioned your have also gone thru the similar situation. So, were you hired then even without your H1B was filed. Can you pls tell me in detail what did you tell your recruiter.
You can even mail me at ab_gator@yahoo.com.
