Message: I have worked at C1 as OA for 8 months now, and I had 4 years of experience before this. I would like to caution those who want to join this company, especially those with masters or PhD in engineering backgrounds: What you would be doing here is lower than high school level: creating weekly/monthly reports where you plug in numbers, Doing some small multiplications/additions in excel. People who have taken 1 course in statistics work as Sr. statisticians here. I know of a web-page filled with 20-25 statistics formulaes which is all that is required here. The most advanced mathematical stuff I came across was "weighted average" You prove yourself to be good at small stuff like creating powerpoint slides etc I have talked with a lot of analysts here, and it seems C1 does not need analysts, but people who can think of ideas and simply influence others (from call center supervisor to MBAs) to accept it. Since, there are so analysts with good education background here, it is rare now that one can do something really different or big. I am getting/will get big credit for 3 projects I worked for in 2005. The time it took me to get the ideas was totally less than 1 week. Time I needed to get this implemented was 8 months Why?? Because I am T7, and I have to first build confidence with T6 who may be a call center trainer etc.
