hmmmm...i'm not a current employee so i can't answer who's team this is under. but sounds like you both work at cap1 already...maybe if i provide some more info on the specifics of my post you might be able to assist. many thx already for your replies.
some backgrounhd: i'm strongly considering applying for either a "biz dev mngr" role, or an "AVP" role as these came to me through a recruiter referral. more specifically, the recruiter said it was a "biz dev mngr" but then a follow up call with cap1 suggested it was an avp role.
unfortunately i have no details re: either position, and hoping this message board might provide insights re: their respective tiers/specifics. titles can be misleading these days, just hoping for some substantive info behind the titles. |

I know some Business Dev. Managers that are Tier 6s, but more that are Tier 5s.
AVP is one of the new/upcoming titles, and it is Tier 5 equivalent, I believe (many Tier 4s will be VPs now, so Associate VP follows logically).
Note that the recruiters will often be using old nomenclature. As well, there are still minor changes being made for the Tier 5-8 community as far as titles etc, so those individuals currently at C1 would not yet know their new titles, either.
