I dnt think you have to have knowledge abt credit card operations i guess, but if u know it wud be helpful.

You may or may not be able to distinguish yourself a bit if you happen to get a credit-card-related case, but...
All in all, don't worry about it - as many have mentioned, it's your approach to the problem and "thinking" skills which are really important.
