Hi,
I have recently received an offer from Technology Services division of Capgemini based out of Cupertino.During the discussions,I was informed that travel involved would be minimal and local.Could someone give me a realistic picture regarding this. This is really important for me to decide due to certain personal obligations.
Thanks for all your help. |

and if it turns out to be less, consider yourself lucky.
The goal is to have people working close to home to allow for better work life balance and lower expenses on the projects but the reality is you will be sent to whatever project needs your skills when you are available to fill those openings. If that means flying from SFO to NYC every week for a year, then that's what they'll expect you to do.
If you aren't willing to travel that much, then, as someone else suggested, you might want to look for a different line of work.
On the upside, you get to keep the frequent flyer miles and hotel points for personal use so the more you travel for work, the more you can travel for free when you want to take a vacation.
