Clearly you know that a 4 is below average, and that approximatley 5 - 10% of all employees receive a 4. Assuming that you are dedicated to making a go at a consulting career with CG, I suggest that you have a heart to heart with your conselor. Specifically understand what it is you need (or need not do do anymore) to improve your performance. Get it in writting, in terms a specifics - outline an executable plan of action that you will review with your counselor on a monthly basis. You should be speaking to your counselor at least once every 2 weeks. Your next few reviews need to be good, recieving a 4 at your level needs to be rectified. Know that you will not survive another year or half a year if you do not improve performance. |

I thought that the first (1/2)year rating doesn't count that much. The project rating is different from the year end rating. Does this make the situation better?
Thanks.....
