Message: I am seeking to change career to IT and am studying part-time for a degree in IT and Computing. I should graduate 1st class later this year. I've recently been offered an entry-level position as an Incident Handler in one of CG's UK Service Centres. The pay is pretty poor (??12K) although the benefits are relatively good. I just have a few questions:- 1. Just how easy is it to progress from a position like this? The managers who interviewed me said there would be loads of opportunities, but it would be great to hear of others' experiences at CG (both good and bad!) 2. How quickly does the pay increase? 3. Assuming I get on well in the job (and I have every confidence that I will), what are the chances of my making a success application to the Accelerated Technologist Programme when I graduate? 4. What is it like at CG generally? Regards. LN
