I worked for some years with Capgemini in Inverness. When i got their our trainer advised when asked what sort of opportunity for promotion there was, her reply was "that there was loads, but you wouldnt get a pay rise"
For a year i worked my backside off, helping not only with my job but noticing flaws in processes and slowly having them modified, i took part in some projects to modify some systems and processes used in my unit in Inverness, and received little praise. Slowly people were becoming unhappy, company profits started rising as did new contracts. 3 years, when i was finished, i was on 50p more than when i started, and i was one of the employees who were really striving to make a difference.
Although it was an experience and i learned a few things, i can honestly say that Capgemini was the crappest employer i ever had. The company was full of corporate Wan@@rs who would stick up for the company no matter what. It was all man eats smaller man, the management cared only for theirselfs, not for their staff.
