In Reply To: The holidays are over. Many glasses of Kool-Aid have been lifted to celebrate "now that CG (sic)is back in profit." Perhaps you live in Brussels, but just in case your home office is in NY or Chicago my only reaction to your post is Hello...are Alfred E. Newman? Bear with me, it's almost recess. CG NA increased sales 8.9% in the first half but its operating loss widened to (6.5%). PD was so confident in the his turnaround plan that he tried to exit stage left to Accor...but got caught. CG showed its confidence in PD and his plan by immediately firing him. On a global basis, CG is boasting that operating margins with reach 2.6% in the second half (requiring an improvement of a mere 50%). Pardon moi if I'm unimpressed. Origin, CG's closest rival in France, delivered an operating profit margin of 6.7% on revenues of $2.7b What else is there for you and LadyDa to be optimistic about? Oh yes, CG's credit rating is now in the realm of junk bonds. No wonder there are posts scattered about alternately speculating on whether bonuses will be 10%, zero or when they'll be another RIF. But as A.E. Newman and CG apologist always say..."what me worry?"
Message: as usual. thank you for setting us idiots straight.
