but please,10M in sales is a stretch even for most vps today. what happened to non-selling vp roles? name 1 principal of the last 5 years who has moved on to vp. you have some senior managers who have 20+ years in the industry and x+ years at the firm. they are more than ready to make the transition to vp without the interim digs. |

There have been several that have gone from principal to VP. In this last crop alone I can name two principals that have been promoted to VP: BP and SJ. If that's not proof I don't know what is.
I agree 10 MM is a sretch, but that is the number, and it is a difficult one to make year in and year out. This is why the push to have folks transition into it.
There are still some folks that may go directly to VP if they are ready. But I think we will be seeing this less and less.
