This is not the appropriate forum for the PR team of Campbell Alliance to be doing their damage control. My suggestion is to try to solve the problems from the inside out rather than using an online chat room to manage perceptions. The purpose of these postings is to give actual information--not the company's PR spiel. |

Hi all,
I was just poking around on the site and saw some of the backlash about our PR guy trying to work his magic on the boards. I'm a "real employee" -- coming up on 4 years -- and I'm also a new mom (18 mo old baby and another one on the way) so I feel qualified to answer any questions you have without the PR spin.
Campbell gave me two weeks paid maternity, 6 weeks short term disability, and a month of FMLA which came out to 3 months of away time. My manager and the exec management here was very flexible about my return date and also very accomodating to me when I needed to adjust to all of the postpartum/new baby/daycare issues upon my return.
Several other women are pregnant here now and it will be interesting to see how their leaves are handled. I was somewhat of a precedent, shall we say. Yet here I am about to do it again, so that should say something!
