The general rule of thumb is to not jump ship for less that about a 20% raise.
Unless there are other factors that would make you leave. Why would you go to BAH without a pay increase?
oh, and "deserve" is probably the wrong word to use. No one "deserves" anything.
Its more about what you are worth and what you can get.

thanks unc, i'll definitely keep you all updated ...
regarding 'likewhatever's post i understand and agree with the 20% rule, but i personally feel that joining BAH would be a great career move that will definitely make me more marketable (sooner) in the consulting field. so even though i wouldn't want a pay cut, i would settle for equal pay (worse case scenario).
and about using the word deserve, you are correct, i should have used 'NEED' lol ...
