That's the problem....the gap is so big. I know a lot of people who leave to get more money and then come back kid it to a higher level/salary. The turnover has been a lot hiher lately because the pay is so poor for sucha good company. I think they trick yo originally and then you realize you are way underpaid at the lower level and it will take years to get to a salary that is genuinely acceptable.
The biggest problem I have is that the hiring manager has no say in my salary. As if a recruiter could possibly know my potential value to the firm (compared to the manager).
What is a standard raise if you go from I to II, not including th eannual merit increase? |

to answer your questions, it is possible to get a mid year review, however, make sure you've been there long enough (at least yr) to have some achievements to back it up. i had 4 yrs exp. that was ignored when i got hired. i got a 16% increase from level I to II, but was still underpaid since i came in too low. i eventually applied to a few firms, and got 32% more in offers even after the 16% raise. i showed these to my managers and they were willing to increase me and additional 15%, and maybe the other 15% on my next assessment, but not guaranteed. booz is a great company to work for, a great place to get some good experience. i'll try applying again in a couple of yrs and see what they offer...good luck!
