Vudu - in which division you are employed? I'm assuming CB but you seem to have a solid understanding of both sides of the coin.
Also, I wonder if you have any thoughts on the mini MBA program touted on the BAH website. As I mentioned before I've got a couple of advanced degrees (one technical) and a business background but do not have a MBA. Is the program all the website claims it is? Are there many opportunities for non MBA's with advanced degrees as implied on the the website?
OBTW - my thanks to you and Booz2005 for your candidness and insight - much appreciated! |

I am indeed from the CB side, but have spent many years in the firm and worked with several TB people. And glad you appreciate the candidness.
On the mini MBA... I don't know what the website says, but all you need to know is this: it is a 10 day program (maybe less), whereas a full MBA is typically 2 years (or 1 year for a super intense program in Europe). I know people who have been in the mini MBA (but I haven't) and it is a nice introduction to some basic business principles, but that is all. That said, lots of people don't need an MBA to pick up the business tools and personal maturity to succeed at Booz WCB. Incidentally, there are lots of opps. in CB for people without an MBA. Once you are in, the firm cares far more about ability than degrees. BUT, I don't really have a view on how TB views MBAs.
